Josephine Allegretti
Josephine Allegretti is an American filmmaker born and raised in rural Connecticut. She attended Emerson College from 2015-2018 in both Boston and Los Angeles. In LA she worked at the Fox Lot under Steve Zaillian in the final days before Disney's acquisition of the studio. In 2018 Josephine moved back to Boston to join the local VFX industry, working on movies such as LITTLE WOMEN and CHALLENGERS. During the COVID-19 lockdowns she directed RESTORING SOCIETY: an expansive post-apocalyptic film with minimal cast and resources. In 2022 she started a career in cinematography, shooting various shorts as well as the upcoming features WHO GOES THERE and THE BENNY O'HARA TRAILER SHOW. When not on film sets or frequenting arthouse theaters, Josephine writes articles on film culture for her Substack CINEMA RIOT.
